Service Description

NOTE: this is the online version of the Gawler Foundation 8-week course. Sessions are LIVE via Zoom. You will be sent a link. This 8-week introduction is based on the Mindfulness Based Stillness Meditation (MBSM) course as taught by The Gawler Foundation. It is a very practical course and includes multiple guided meditation sessions each week. By the end of 8 weeks you will have enough practical experience to use Mindfulness in your everyday life. Course Objectives: • Understand the benefits of Mindfulness meditation for healing, personal development and spirituality • Learn about the strengths and limitations of the thinking mind and the causes of excessive thinking • Review the stress response, the relaxation response and their impact on health and healing • Explore the links between meditation, neuroscience and neuroplasticity • Experience the importance of ‘stillness’ and ‘spaciousness’ Includes 2 x recorded meditations (MP4) + course manual.
